Eric Ding decided to dedicate his life to accelerating medical research after having an invasive surgery at 17, when he had a tumor removed from behind his breastbone. Now an epidemiologist, nutrition researcher, and faculty member at Harvard Medical School, Eric is interviewed in The New York Times about his creative initiative "Campaign for Cancer Prevention" on Facebook that raises money for Cancer Prevention projects. In a time when social media serves as a popular means of connecting with others, Ding's campaign garners support from millions to save lives.
